All About Jaymie
Author Bio
Jaymie was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and moved to Alberta in 2021, returning to Ontario in 2025. She has been writing since she was a little girl, starting with children’s stories for her younger siblings, then moving on to short stories, novels, and poetry as she grew older. Her writing focuses on feminism, mental health, and little bit of fantasy. Outside of the writing world she works in the early childhood and youth fields with an Early Childhood Education Diploma, Honours BSc in Early Childhood Studies, and is currently working towards her credentials to work as a Child Life Specialist. In the time she’s not writing, working, volunteering, or in school she enjoys listening to her vinyl collection, attending concerts, visiting cafés and bookshops in the mountains with friends, reading, and most of all spending time with her puppy – George Weasley!
Experience
Jaymie started writing when she was about 9 years old and never stopped. Jaymie has taken several creative writing courses in high school, college, and university. Jaymie can often be found found sharing her work at local open mic nights and in different classes.
